With 245.3 million overnight stays, the members of AlpNet collectively represent 66% of the 375 million overnight stays in the alpine region.

AlpNet Charter: Covid-19

During these unprecedented times, we are committed to making a meaningful contribution to ensuring that the safety and wellbeing of our guests, employees and the population at large is our top priority. AlpNet is thus seeking to align its members on a common Charter that will provide guidance on navigating this difficult and insecure period in the world of travel. You can download the charter here.

AlpNet Partners

Currently nine leading tourism organisations from the European alpine region are behind the initiative: Allgäu Tourism, Graubünden Ferien, IDM Südtirol-Alto Adige, Luzern-Vierwaldstättersee, Made in Bern AG, SalzburgerLand Tourismus, Tirol Werbung, Trentino Turismo and Valais/Wallis Promotion have all come together under the umbrella of AlpNet.

Allgäu Tourism

Even the famous fairytale king was fascinated by the Allgäu. When he sought peace and quiet and wanted to breathe in freedom, he climbed the mountain peaks, rode across the meadows or listened to the operas of Richard Wagner in his famous castle. A place for all those who like plenty to dream about: Cycling and hiking around the prettiest corners in harmony with the nature. In winter, unusual experience in a snow-white winter wonderland is awaiting for the holiday guests. The towns provide cultural highlights in summer and in winter.

Graubünden Ferien

1000 summits, 150 valleys, 615 lakes, 3 languages. – That is Graubünden in numbers.

In this region, travellers find chic alpine towns for example St. Moritz as well as small idyllic mountain villages. On the slopes, cross country tracks, hiking paths or bike trails – the adventures awaiting outdoor enthusiast and nature lovers are countless. To get from one place to the next guests board one of the trains from the Rhaetian Railway. Their lines are so magnificently laid out into the landscape that one of them is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

IDM Südtirol-Alto Adige

Italy’s northernmost province combines Alpine staidness with Italian joie-de-vivre, the Dolomites – a UNESCO World Heritage site – and cultural diversity. South Tyrol is a region abounding with contrasts, between Mediterranean landscape and Alpine peaks, deeply rooted tradition and cosmopolitan curiosity. The allure of South Tyrol lies in its variety and the harmony of opposites.

Luzern Tourismus

The Lucerne  Lake Lucerne Region with its unique mountain and lake landscape is as fascinating as the city of Lucerne itself. Nowhere you find so much Switzerland in such a small space and such a wide range of year-round experiences: Europe’s biggest inland fleet of steamboats, the world’s steepest cogwheel railway runs onto the Pilatus and the steepest funicular onto Stoos, the first rotating cable railway onto the Titlis, the world’s first double-decker open-air cable railway on the Stanserhorn and Europe’s first cableway onto the Rigi. The Unesco Entlebuch Biosphere will delight you with pure nature.

Made in Bern AG

Picturesque landscapes, dotted with over 800 sparkling lakes, framed and distinguished by countless mountain peaks, world-class events and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, moments of bliss and unsurpassable feelings of contentment: Bern and the Bernese Oberland belong to the most appealing regions of Switzerland. From the UNESCO-listed capital to the world-renowned triumvirate of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and the internationally famous area of Gstaad – you’ll find everything your heart desires here!

SalzburgerLand Tourism

The landscape in SalzburgerLand with its breath-taking mountains, lush green mountain pastures, smooth hills and a tremendous abundance of water sources, recharges one’s body and soul. Water, in all its forms, guides the way in which we experience the natural world. Enjoy your holiday by and in the water, explore SalzburgerLand on a hike during the Alpine Summer, cycle on our fantastic trails or visit us in winter for perfectly groomed slopes and awesome snow parks, and never miss out our tasty culinary pathways.

Tirol Werbung

With 11.7 million international arrivals from more than 50 countries around the globe, more than 47 million guest room nights last year and 34 local tourist boards, Tirol ranks as one of the leading tourist destinations in the European Alps. Tirol’s 200-year-old tourism history is marked by visionary and intriguing characters. Summer and winter, visitors to Tirol appreciate unique outdoor experiences, a high level of personal services and superb tourist facilities, along with legendary and bespoke hospitality.

Trentino Marketing

Trentino is located in the north of Italy. If you look close at the outline of the province, it has the shape of a butterfly, with the Adige River as its body. That’s why the symbol of the Trentino is a blue butterfly. The transcendent Dolomites, Unesco World Natural Heritage site with its dense spruce forests and clear mountain lakes invites everyone to practice excursions in nature. The geographical and cultural bridge between Central Europe and the Mediterranean area is reflected in the region’s art, culture and lifestyle. The different valleys offer a mix of alpine traditions and Mediterranean “Italian lifestyle”, from cool mountain life to warm beach fun.

Valais/Wallis Promotion

Welcome to Valais: the majestic Rhône valley and its picturesque side valleys, framed by 45 peaks above 4,000 metres, blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year. More than 8,000 kilometres of marked hiking trails lead past Alpine streams and lakes; spectacular mountain bike trails meander over mountain slopes and through dense forests and thermal baths provide purest relaxation. Switzerland’s highest winter sports resorts guarantee snow on an overall length of around 2400 kilometres of slopes.
