Alpine tourism accounts for around 375 million paid-for and 150 million unpaid nights and therefore can be counted among the most intensive tourism regions in the world. Even more important is the high-quality and sustainable development of this living and recreational area of the Alps.
Through theALPS Award 2015 powered by AlpNet, outstanding achievements in alpine tourism based on the central theme of cycling/biking in Alpine tourism are to be recognized. An international jury of leading representatives from science and practice are responsible for the selection of the nominees and prize-winner.
